We had the opportunity to partner with Music Makes Me Happy‘s networking experience in the heart of Los Angeles last week.
Singers Selina Carrera (The Voice, BGV for Lauryn Hill, Juvenile Justice Advocate) and Paolo Ramirez (X Factor, Q’Viva! The Chosen) opened the evening before the panel discussion, hosted by Joshua Dingle of Music Makes Me Happy.
Idle Tuesdays Founder and Executive Producer Emily Hibard shared the stage with B Slade (singer/songwriter, Producer Chaka Kan | Sheila E | Chris Brown), Thurz (artist, Producer, Event Curator Party in my Living Room), Jordan Brown (SATTA, Kinetic Musician, Alicia Keys, Wiz Khalifa), and Ade Samuel (Celebrity Stylist Big Sean | Jhene Aiko) as hundreds of artists and musicians asked questions about every part of the music industry.
We asked a few artists what they thought about the event. Here’s what they had to say:
“I literally had the time of my life listening to incredibly talented performers and meeting so many wonderful people at the Music Makes Me Happy event!”
“Nothing beats being surrounded by artists who genuinely want to serve others and the community.”
“I can’t wait to attend the next one. I met so many amazing people!”
Singer, songwriter and guitarist of North Hollywood, California, Jon Cresswell, attended the event and had this to say:
“I had the opportunity to ask the Panelists a question about how to pursue your art while being financially capable of supporting it. To my surprise, each of the 5 panelists answered my question with so much more insight than I could have imagined. Each response was dynamic and so unique as each panelist came from a different walk of life and all had significantly different journeys. You can’t beat perspective!”
This networking experience was the BIGGEST LOS ANGELES EVENT that brought together artists and organizations who inspire social change and civic engagement through art and music.
